SOCIETY OF GREEK AUTHORS IN GERMANY (GGAD) e.V. In the millennium year 2000, the "Association of Greek Authors in Germany" was founded in Munich. Well-known Greek authors living and working in Germany formed the board of the literary initiative at the time and began intensive cultural work in German-speaking countries for the first time, focussing on German/Greek - Greek/German literature. As early as 2006, the Society of Greek Authors in Germany e.V., based in Düsseödorf, was founded as a successor organisation, which made the work known far beyond the borders of Düsseldorf and Germany. At the end of 2023, the general meeting decided on far-reaching changes to modernise and further open up the society. Today's "SOCIETY OF GREEK AUTHORS IN GERMANY e.V.", also known by the abbreviation "GGAD e.V.", has carried the addition / subtitle "and German-speaking authors etc. who feel connected to German/Greek - Greek/German literature" since the end of 2023. The association, which counts many Greek and German authors among its members, thus underlines its almost quarter of a century of proven and recognised work in the German-speaking world (Belgium, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland) and its international relevance as Europe's most important literary platform for the written German/Greek - Greek/German word.
